Months in Review – October 2013

In the beginning, I intend to merge the writings of my monthly reviews as a bigger picture of my 2013 Manifesto since it has now reached the last and final quarter of the year. I personally felt that, time has definitely gone by too fast as it may seem this year. Somehow I’m glad it does.

Soon after, I leaned towards my conventional perception and decided to segregate my prevalent short reviews again; although not much has happened in October at any moment when I tried to bring to mind.

So here it goes.

Moments – The Awesome & Terrified.

The Terrified.

In terms of my personal life, I have ascertained that my work attendance was considerably getting poorer and unpleasant (many of unscheduled absences) due to sudden emergencies, which makes it much harder to sustain my life, financially. My paycheck has never been in a full amount starting October due to the unpaid leave, which has pressured me to cut down several expenses.

This awful moment of financial crisis necessitates some actions; and I still aim hard to resolve it.

The Amazing.

Just so you are aware, in our country, we had many celebrations for the reason of multi-racial and diversified ethnicity. In October, we celebrated ‘Hari Raya Aidiladha’ or ‘Hari Raya Haji’; with simultaneously many of birthday babies, which includes both of my parents, my grandmother and my mother-in-law (indirectly, this means plenty of delicious food and ruined of diet plans during that particular month).

Undeniably, October was definitely a tough month for me. Nevertheless, there were many other little good things happened including:

  • Spent hours in a hair salon to pamper myself – did a hair treatment, hair styling, etc
  • From my earlier post, I talked about learning how to cook, and I distinguished more about cooking and recipes in October. I wish to upload the photos of my basic dishes (identically to a food gallery), but I couldn’t find the best site to do so aside from ‘Flickr’. Do you have any other suggestion?
  • And I bought for myself this funky ‘Bubba Gump Shrimp’ mug, shimmered with colorful disco lights (with battery-operated, lol!)

Wrapping up October, we discarded all the bad moments for a trip to Bali, Indonesia. Initially, there was a pinch of hesitation about the trip considering my financial uneasiness; however I was left with no better option – the trip was originally planned ahead of time (which signifies that every single thing was paid in advance, including flight and accommodation), thus it would be much more waste of money if I decided to cancel at the very last minute.

Despite everything, I will write about my Bali trip and share my travel experiences in the next couple of posts, therefore hopefully you guys will pop in here again at anytime soon! 🙂
